Sunday, April 5, 2009, 07:44 AMBaby girl has been crawling for a week or two now and she is getting pretty good at it - deliberate forward movement as opposed to the frustratingly comical backing into corners or rolling in circles. She is so good at it that I have to keep reminding myself that she can make it from the couch to under my computer sucking on power cords in less than 30 seconds. The EP has a theory that she is building up an electrical charge by crawling around on the carpet and therefore is drawn to anything emitting an electrical current.
Speaking of deliberate forward movement, we have finally made the decision to sell this cute little house in favor of getting one where the baby doesn't have to sleep in the sink.*
I get the bug to move every Spring at the same time, and the past couple of years have managed to suck the EP in with me. Twice we decided to move to California, once I almost had him agreeing to Chicago, last year we looked at bigger houses in our neighborhood and the surrounding area. I think that is why it is surprising some people that we are actually really doing it this time (really, no kidding, for reals).
Right now the house is in the middle of being painted Richmond Bisque (which turns out to be a surprisingly nice color after having dreaded painting it for a week), all non-essential "stuff" has been packed away, and we have found a house that is perfect for us to stay in for the rest of our lives (knock on wood and cross your fingers for us).
The house is not, sadly, in our current neighborhood. More on that and the crushing irony that we are moving in the middle of Powderhorn365.
As I write this even my toes hurt from painting all day yesterday and my friend is on the way over to help me get off the couch to start all over again. I am eternally grateful and want to ambush her with a 2x4 all at the same time.
* Kidding! Kidding! She is currently still co-sleeping with me, which happens to be the main drive behind getting a new house because I want somewhere to put the baby now that she can quite capably crawl off of the end of the bed but still can't stick the landing.

I know that the photos are really just a lazy way to fill up space on the blog, but this one is serving double duty by entering me in I Heart Faces photo competition. The theme this week is Black and White.
No voting on your end, you just get to soak up the Twerpiness and wait (with bated breath I am sure) to see if someday I might write all about the things going on around here.

In Other News: I did a "25 Things About Me" list on Facebook that has inspired me to write a "101 Things About Me". So far I am up to *ahem* 25...you can follow along in the sidebar under "the plot thickens."

There is a stretch of Lake Street that I love to drive down on really cold and gray days (of which we have many), because I get to look through the window of Del Primo. They have a shelf of cowboy boots that is a crazy mess of color that spills through the glass and makes me happy.

Holy crap, I forgot about my blog. Here is a picture to help you forget how long it has been since I posted...
(I would have taken an action shot, but he kept falling faster than my shutter speed)
